Harpers Ferry

Ok, ok. Here's the answer: Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. We actually didn't get to camp, because it had rained a whole bunch and was supposed to rain again. So we decided to take two day trips. On Friday we went to Gettysburg and drove around the battlefields for a while, then we went to Devil's Den and climbed the rocks. It brought back some good memories. I love that place. It looked like they were either putting a new monument up at Little Round Top or else they were working on an old one. So yeah, Friday was good. Oh, after climbing we decided to drive NW and look for a place to eat. It was funny 'cause dad wasn't even sure where we were going to end up. We just drove until we found a good resturant. :P oops, have to go, will write more later...

Thanks for the comments everyone! To continue the story I thought I'd just post it as a comment instead of a whole new post so...

...HARPERS FERRY, CONTINUED

It was a dark and stormy night...j/k. Actually it was a beautiful day. Sunny and not too much humidity. Once we got to HF on Saturday we toured the John Brown Museum, read a lot of the historic plaques, and ate REALLY good ice cream. I mean REALLY GOOD! That was one of the highlights of the day. Oh, that and swimming in the Shenendoah River. :D Ben jumped in w/his clothes on.
So the trip was great. I learned some new stuff, swam in a river, ate ice cream, and got a new book. On the way home we watched the first half of "Gettysburg". I love that movie! All those things made it a fabulous weekend.
I hope you a had good one too!
